Molly Hagerty Calls Al Gore A 'Sexual Predator'

Molly Hagerty, the masseuse who accused Al Gore of sexually assaulting her, has dubbed the former Vice President as "a pervart and sexual predator". Hagerty's latest attack on Gore comes as Portland police announced yesterday re-opening of probe into the case.

"He's not what people think he is. He's a sick man," Molly Hagerty told the National Enquirer in its latest issue. "I did not want him to get away with it and do this to another woman. "I felt lucky that I didn't get raped . . . He turned from Mr. New Age into a pervert."

Hagerty, 54, a licensed therapist for almost 15 years, claimed that she was very excited to learn that she would be giving massage to the former vice president in Hotel Lucia on Oct. 23, 2006. Gore, 62, in town to address on climate change, had registered under the name "Mr. Stone" in a ninth-floor suite. The VP allegedly tried to seduce the massage, by dimming the lights and playing "Dear Mr. President" by singer Pink before pawing at Hagerty.

"I was half out the door . . . and [Gore's] grabbing, groping my breasts and he said, 'You know you want it,' " she claimed. Al Gore "grabbed me in a big bear hug," planting kisses and "mauling my breasts with his huge hands," she told the mag. "The scariest part of all was that he refused to take no for an answer," Hagerty added. "The more I resisted, the more turned on he'd become."

The masseuse claimed that she managed to escape but that the incident continued to haunt her. She said that she suffered post-traumatic stress disorder, a damaged knee and a cardiac rhythmic disorder due to that fateful incident. "I'm still frightened, but I know I'm doing the right thing by speaking out," she said. Hagerty who allegedly sold her story for USD 1 million claimed that she had a Ghirardelli candy-bar wrapper that had Gore's finger prints.

It may be recalled that Portland police had closed the case, saying Hagerty had not enough evidence to vindicate her claims. In addition the DNA analysis of the pant she wore that night failed to give clear results. Portland cops, however, have not commented on what made the renew their probe.

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for environmentalist Gore "unequivocally and emphatically" denied the allegations. "Further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore," she said. The development comes almost a month after Gore and his wife announced their split, ending 40 years of their marriage. Tipper had reportedly complained about her husband's special interest in massage therapists.
