US Open 2010 Pebble Beach Greens Results, Scores, Updates and Highlights
The Peeble Beach Greens will be a memorable place for Graeme McDowell of Norther Ireland because this is where he won the US Open 2010. McDowell scored a 3-over 74 to become the first European U.S. Open champion in 40 years.
It was not an easy win but the Peeble Beach Greens was just for McDowell. He seized control of the game against known players like Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson, Ernie Els and of course Tiger Woods. He in fact had tamed the Tiger this time.
On the 18th green there was full of excitement. “You’re something, kid,” Kenny McDowell, McDowell’s father said as he embrace him. It was just his time as he even surpass a surprise contender, Gregory Havret from France who shot 72.
Tiger Woods was in total disbelief because he had hoped this game would end his months of bad publicity but then it seems that will hung out for a while. Woods bogeyed five of his first 10 holes and took himself out of contention with a 75.
McDowell only had one birdie and during his final round he made the highest score by a U.S. Open Champion since Andy North in 1985.
Congratulations to Graeme McDowell for winning the US Open 2010 at Pebble Beach Greens
