A Daring Coast Guard Rescue is Made on Season 6, Episode 10 of Deadliest Catch

This show begins 40 miles away from the Opilio crab fleet where heart attack victim Chad Smith is on a cod boat. He's having a hard time being rescued at sea by the Coast Guard. A second rescue attempt had fruitioned because the weather was bad during the night attempt. It's now day, but the 15 foot swells are still dangerous, and it's a close call for the rescuer, but he gets on board and the medical case is brought up.

On the Northwestern, Captain Sig Hansen is heading to a dangerous passage to deliver his Opilio crab to St. Paul, and his skills as a skipper help the boat make it safely to harbor. Once the delivery is done, Hansen has the crew do some repairs on Season 6, Episode 10 of Deadliest Catch. Jake Anderson gets medical attention, and needs 4-6 weeks in a splint to recover from his cod knife injury. The captain blows up over the medical advice (that basically tells the injured fisherman to take it easy) and ultimatums Anderson to either work or leave. Jake stays, but is worried about his missing father. Later, they begin dropping pots and after reaping a nice Opilio crab harvest, Captain Hansen gets a call from Jake's mother. She tells him that Jake's dad's truck was found in a logging area, and the father is still missing. The captain assures Jake's mother that he'll keep him busy and even keeps the more disturbing news from Anderson.
